About Great Hill Track Club

We named our running group after Central Park’s toughest hill because we’ve found that when people become athletes, they reverse the typical attitude toward difficult tasks: rather than avoid them, they value and even embrace them.

We don’t just run. Our multifaceted workout sessions build strength, flexibility, and balance and relaxation skills, as well as endurance, speed, and racing expertise.

Great Hill members receive individual coaching and feedback at each workout. We emphasize improvement, camaraderie, and staying healthy. We’re teammates, not competitors; we save the competition for the races, where many of us have run personal bests at ages when most runners don’t expect them.

Other perks of membership include partner discounts, our own track meets, and the option to select Great Hill Track Club as your club affiliation for local races.

Waking up before the sun is never easy, but it's worth it to run with GHTC. I love the feeling of accomplishment and of sharing it with an incredible group that has become family—all before 8 AM!
